Diving regulator Mares Atlas ADJ 62X
Mares engineers designed the Atlas Adj 62X regulator with the utmost extreme conditions in mind. The all-metal second stage offers high thermo-conductivity, positioning it as one of the best-performing regulators, even for cold water diving. Notably durable, it is engineered to fulfill the demands of the most challenging diving environments.
Meeting performance standards that surpass expectations at 200m and benefiting from proven technology at 400m, the Atlas Adj 62X stands prepared to meet the elevated standards divers anticipate from Mares regulators.
1st Stage
The new 62X TBP first stage is the first from Mares equipped with a dual piston anti-freeze kit. The 62X first stage also features AST (Auto Sealing Technology), guarding against water ingress, and uses a DFC (Dynamic Flow Control) system to ensure high and consistent airflow.
Features
- B.P. system for enhanced cold water performance
- DFC LP port for high airflow at any depth
- S.T. technology to prevent water entry
- Pre-oriented LP and HP ports
- Compact diaphragm first stage
- Pearl chrome finish
2nd Stage
The new Atlas second stage incorporates the PAD (Pneumatically Assisted Design) system combined with Mares' patented VAD (Vortex Assisted Design) system. This combination yields elevated airflow, ensuring smooth, comfortable breathing across depths and temperatures. With no moving parts inside the bypass, potential ice crystal formation in cold water is avoided.
The Atlas second stage features a large pivoting purge button and a knob for easy breathing comfort adjustment, even when wearing gloves. The Atlas regulator employs a Superflex low-pressure hose, offering high comfort through its light weight and flexibility.
Features
- All Metal technology
- A.D. system for natural breathing at any depth
- Adjustable breathing comfort to suit diver's needs
- A.D. - Pneumatically Assisted Design; second stage valve designed and manufactured for pneumatic operation, minimizing spring load and inhalation effort
- Large, pivoting exhaust button for easy use, even with thick gloves
- High airflow
- Superflex hose
Technologies
DFC- Dynamic Flow Control: Minimizes intermediate pressure drop during inhalation thus maximizing gas delivery, especially under extreme conditions.
VAD-Vortex Assisted Design: The air bypass tube conveys air to the mouthpiece creating a swirling vortex with a low-pressure area in the center that keeps the diaphragm down during inhalation, for very sensitive and easy breathing at all depths.
All Metal Technology: Outstanding mechanical resistance and high thermal conductivity make our metal 2nd stages extremely long lasting and ideal for cold water dives. The high thermal conductivity of metal reduces the dry mouth feeling during the dive.
Superflex Hose: Extreme light weight and exceptional softness guarantee the maximum freedom of movement.
