Diving regulator Mares SXS 62X
The SXS 62X regulator is remarkably compact and lightweight. "SXS" stands for Second eXtra Small, highlighting the extreme lightness and compact nature of the second stage.
This versatile regulator is a fantastic option for various side configurations. Users can effortlessly switch the regulator between right and left-sided use with just a few simple steps.
1st Stage
Mares has chosen to combine the SXS second stage with the proven 62X first stage, resulting in one of the most robust and lightweight regulators in the industry.
The compact 62X encompasses all the innovative features of Mares' first stages, including AST technology (Auto Sealing Technology), a pneumatic system that safeguards against water entering the first stage, and the well-established Natural DFC System (Dynamic Flow Control), ensuring consistent high airflow at any depth.
Features
- DFC LP port for high air flow at any depth
- Pre-oriented LP and HP ports
- S.T. for a watertight first stage
- A lighter, more compact diaphragm
- A pearl chrome finish
2nd Stage
The Mares SXS second stage features a curved bypass and a larger diameter compared to other models, ensuring high airflow. This distinct characteristic, paired with Mares' patented Vortex Assisted Design (VAD), delivers comfortable airflow to divers at any depth.
Mares has also introduced a new deflector design to optimize the Venturi effect and minimize the chance of free-flow, guaranteeing smoother and more comfortable inhalation, even at depths exceeding 100m.
An octopus version is also offered, with its slim and compact form allowing the octopus to fit effortlessly into a BCD pocket.
Features
- The smallest, most compact Mares second stage
- Made of ultra-lightweight technopolymer
- A V.A.D system with a "curved" bypass tube for maximum airflow
- Can be used on either the right or left side
- A lateral exhaust tube for better visibility in all diving positions
- An easy-to-use, soft exhaust button
- A Superflex hose
Technologies
DFC- Dynamic Flow Control: Minimizes intermediate pressure drop during inhalation thus maximizing gas delivery, especially under extreme conditions.
VAD-Vortex Assisted Design: The air bypass tube conveys air to the mouthpiece creating a swirling vortex with a low-pressure area in the center that keeps the diaphragm down during inhalation, for very sensitive and easy breathing at all depths.
